The most spectacular waterfalls

They dump millions of liters of water from the high cliffs, digging the flow in the hardest rock blocks. Waterfalls are giants of the fleeting: they are their formidable aggression that makes them threatened.

1. Niagara Falls (Canada): Every year, 14 million visitors come to visit this victory, double the Eiffel Tower. Niagara Falls is one of the most favorite places for honeymooners. It was a fashion from Napoleon's brother Jérôme Bonaparte, who brought her American wife there in 1804. 54m tall Niagara Falls.

2. Shiraito Falls (Japan): The strips of white water sweep over 20m of cliff-covered cliffs at the foot of Mount Fuji. 130m wide, this gentle waterfall creates shade, freshness and moisture necessary for plants.

3. Tchadar Falls (India): As the region with the highest living in the world, the Zanskar Buddhist kingdom bears the name of a river that flows 150km before flowing into the Indus Sea. This area is separated every 8 months each year by snow covering the hills at an altitude of 5,000m. With a temperature of -35 0 C, the cold freezes the water. The only road that can be reached in the winter is called Tchadar (The frozen river).

4. Yellowstone Waterfall (USA): Magma in the depth of 10,000m heats the land of this natural park. Water sprayed on the geyser and then flowed from one level to another. Algae and bacteria change the color of water and help people know the temperature: if white is 80 0 C, gold is 70 0 C, orange is 60 0 C.

5. Victoria Falls (Zimbabwe): 1,700m wide, this great waterfall is classified by UNESCO as a world heritage. The Zambèze River poured 545 million liters of water every minute. In the flood season, the sound of a waterfall can be heard from a distance of 500m, creating a mist that makes it difficult to see the landscape.

6. Trappstegsforsen Waterfall (Sweden): In the middle of the vast Laponie forest near the Arctic Circle, the water melted by snow and melted down the natural steps. In the ice age of the fourth century 12,000 years ago, snow and ice covered the whole of Northern Europe, flattening the terrain to create accelerated steps for flowing water.
