The mysterious fossil confuses the American scientist

On April 24, 2012, at the American Geological Society Conference in Dayton, Ohio, amateur paleontologist Ron Fine Dayton presented fossils to a mysterious, very large 7-inch long creature. foot (more than 2m), living in shallow waters in the Cincinati area about 450 million years ago.

This "monster" fossil was found last year by Ron Fine Dayton on clay-rich rock. According to Fine, fossils are very unusual, like a Saguaro cactus with horizontal stripes interspersed with vertical stripes. Fine originally thought of it as fossils of corals, sponges or seaweed. But the test found that the fossil surface is not smooth but has an unusual texture.

For more than 200 years, the Cincinnati area has been studied by many paleontologists. But this strange fossil is the first time, making professional paleontologists to "scratch their heads" unexplained.

'It is definitely a new discovery. We are confident it is biologically but we just don't know exactly what it is , 'said David L. Meyer of the University of Cincinnati Faculty.

Until now, the group of monster fossil researchers in Cincinati has just come up with a clue to better understand this fossil. Because they found that next to the monster fossil are the three-lobed beetles at the bottom. These bugs often seek shelter under fossils of other animals.

Even so, there is no evidence of any of this fossil to confirm what creature it is. Fossil creatures mysteriously seem to "challenge" all biologists even when they have observed images. Biologists are still looking forward to working together to come up with hypotheses to better understand this fossil.
