The need for computers for modern life

Computers are simply calculators. Let's go back to the past to find out who thought of a device that could perform computational tasks by recognizing input inputs, processing, and producing corresponding outputs.

Abacus used 3000 BC can be viewed as the first generation of computers with a simple counter. In 1941 a German engineer named Konard Zuse developed the first programming computer using binary and Boolean logic. UNIVAC was developed in 1951 and created a real breakthrough in 1952 when Texas Instrument deployed integrated circuits. In 1964, IBM introduced a major computer called IBM 360. Apple launched Apple I in 1976 and Apple II in 1977. Computers became familiar to most of us when it was announced by IBM. 1981 as a personal computer (PC).

The main functions of computers are:

1 - The computer follows and is capable of performing special instructions.

2 - The computer can perform a list of preset general instructions known as a computer program.

The main components that make up that computer are:

Picture 1 of The need for computers for modern life 1 - Input device includes a keyboard and a mouse used to enter instructions and data into the computer.

2 - Output device such as visual display or monitor, printer . output devices tell us what the computer has done.

3 - The central processor is considered to be the main brain of the computer, which is the device that processes all data and carries out all instructions.

4 - Memory is the computer used to store data and instructions on it.

5 - Mass Storage Devices are devices that permanently store and retain a large amount of data. Some common devices are floppy drives, CD-ROMs, hard drives .

Computers are designed in many different ways for different uses of users. Depending on the type, they have different capabilities and values. Most popular computers are personal computers for one user at a time. This type of computer is divided into two categories: desktop and laptop (laptop). Later there was even a smaller computer that fit in the user's hand: Palmtop. In addition to small computers and personal computers, there are other models such as mainframes (Workstations), Workstations and supercomputers (Supercomputer), which are very large and used in large organizations.

Computers can perform functions on a large scale such as document processing, digital audio and video synthesis, Internet, communications, networking and electronic publishing techniques. Computer word processing capabilities include automatic control and correction of grammatical errors for text. The Internet is one of the most important inventions of humankind, the Internet connecting computers on the network together.

The amount of information available on the Internet and the media like streaming, audio and online seminars are free. Graphic technicians use computers to edit audio and synthesize videos. No media product can be made without the help of a computer. Today computers also become essential in banking, rail, air, education, and even national security defense. Rarely is there a business area that doesn't involve computer use. Important business tasks and decisions will not be completed without the help of computers.

Like humans, computers also face many diseases created by the attack of many dangerous viruses. Therefore backing up all data stored on the computer needs to be maintained to provide backup in case of a storage problem. Computers must be secured by using passwords and must be protected from viruses by installing antivirus software. Computers that are properly protected and used can create a lot of surprises for people and can bring about many results that, without a computer, would be difficult to achieve.
