The new generation American rifle can have 4 gun barrels fired at the same time

The US military ordered a model of a car designed in a garage in Colorado Springs. This weapon was fired with electricity, had four gun barrels and could fire all four barrels simultaneously.

This weapon was developed by inventor Martin Grier. Four vertically stacked bins were encased in a steel block, using an electric drive system, with four bullets, according to the Colorado Springs Gazette. None of these three features are integrated into existing small weapons, including heavy weapons such as the M61 Vulcan 20mm Gatling gun and the M134 Gatling gun that have only been fired with electricity.

The first rifle weighed 6.5 pounds (about 3kg) with an impressive appearance with four guns. Compared to the military's M4 carbine, which weighs approximately 7 pounds. In fact, it is not like carbine guns and other rifles, most of the weight is saved by removing the system using heavy steel pistons or bolts to rotate and shoot. Instead, the weapon uses electromagnetic actuators to fire four blocks of bullets.

Bullets hold four 6 mm rounds - the size that the US military is considering to upgrade its range and attack power - with bullets lined up directly into the barrel. Users can shoot one barrel at a time with a theoretical firing rate of 250 rounds per second, or shoot all four barrels at once. A prototype weapon displayed at the 2018 SHOT exhibition in Las Vegas showed that ammunition blocks were supplied across the gun and could be attached to each other, creating different sized ammunition blocks. This is its video at the 2018 SHOT exhibition:

The inventor Grier poured $ 500,000 into this invention. It will be interesting to see what the US military will do with it. The armies are looking for small hand-held weapons that use a new type of ammunition - which qualifies for damage and range. The world of small armored infantry has been enhanced since World War 2 with an increase in accuracy and reliability. If this new weapon significantly reduces weight and proves reliability and accuracy, it could be the beginning of something new.
