The new RealPlayer version allows downloading videos online
RealNetworks has said that the latest version of the RealPlayer digital music player will allow users to save video clips on the Internet to their computers.
RealPlayer will allow users to download videos on the Internet and "process" them to watch on TV, phones, and pocket devices like the iPod .
With the new software version, the "download this video" button will appear right on the video screen of thousands of websites. Users can download multiple videos simultaneously, including videos in Flash format, or in Windows Media and QuickTime formats.
The new version of RealPlayer may add fuel to the fire in the debate over the use of copyrighted television programs. Most copyright focus is directed towards YouTube, where users can upload copyrighted video programs that they store daily.
