The number of people killed by storms in Mexico has reached more than 100
Mexican officials on September 19 reported that the number of people killed in the storm hit the northwestern coast of the country has reached nearly 100, while 58 others are still missing in the state of Guerrero.
Mexico's Ministry of Interior's announcement stated that the number of people killed by floods and landslides in the country in the past two weeks has reached 97 people. Guerrero suffered the most serious damage with more than 65 people dead.
Rescue work is now focused on finding missing people in a small village west of the coastal city of Acapulco and rescuing 28,000 tourists stuck in the city. In addition, the rescue team is also responsible for evacuating people in a coffee-growing village due to the risk of landslides.
