The oldest text about Israel

The University of Bologna in Italy said it may have found the oldest and most complete scroll of Judaism's most important text: the Torah.

The upper scroll, initially predicted to be several hundred years old, has long been in the university library, but has been misbranded.

The results of carbon isotope evaluation show that this document must exist for more than 850 years, meaning that it is the oldest and most complete Torah ever, according to the BBC quoted Professor Mauro Perani.

In 1889, an Italian librarian conducted a paper roll inspection and determined it dates back to the 17th century, but Professor Perani said the reevaluation results show the writing system. used in the Torah is derived from Babylon civilization.

This suggests that the upper roll should be older than the previous one.

In addition to typography, the factors that make scholars decide it is ancient text based on the fact that it contains many features that are not included in later versions.
