The Atlas 5 rocket brought X-37B out of Earth on March 5.

The unmanned X-37B is launched from Cape Canaveral in Florida and will conduct secret experiments for the US Air Force.

At 9m long, 4m wingspan and weighs about 5 tons, the X-37B is about 1/4 the size of an American spacecraft. The X-37B is funded through the Pentagon's top-secret budget, giving rise to rumors about the ship's true mission. So far, the true mission of the X-37B remains confidential.

Major Tracy A. Bunko, a US Air Force spokesman, said: ' It is a secret mission' . Bunko added that the ship carries reusable technologies for the future of America in the universe and performs experiments. These experiments can then be brought back and studied on earth.

Meanwhile, the United Launch Alliance, which is responsible for tracking flights, said in a statement that X-37B ' will support experiments in space, and serve as a basis for developing technologies. The universe is long and reusable '.

When the mission is completed, the X-37B will land at California's Vandenberg air base. The schedule of this mission has not been announced but the ship will stay in the universe for up to 270 days.

This is the second X-37B mission since the first mission last year, when the ship was launched into space in April and landed safely 7 months later.
