The secret inside the ancient cut bird mummy died choking from eating

After choking death due to overeating, the cut bird is embalmed and can be used as a sacrifice to give to the gods.

According to National Geography, after using computerized tomography (CT scan) technology, scientists found prey crammed inside mummies wrapped in flax of the bird cut in ancient Egypt . They determined the cause of the bird's death due to choking a mouse in the esophagus.

Scientists were surprised to find the tail of the rat lying along the length of the esophagus, while the rest was in the cut bird's stomach. There are also traces of at least two other mice along with the bones and claws of a sparrow . "That means the bird has eaten too much," said Salima Ikram, a mummy expert.

The carnivorous birds in nature eat prey, digest possible parts, then release parts like bones and teeth. However, this bird is too crammed and cannot get rid of undigested things. Since then, Ikram speculated that he was locked up and forced to eat.

This may be one of the millions of animals raised as sacrifices and mummified to offer to the gods between 600 BC and 250 years. In this case, it is likely that the bird will be offered to the sun god Ra.
