The ship Atlantis left the ground safely

After two months of delay, the space shuttle Atlantis finally left the Kennedy Space Center in Florida safely to get into orbit and connect to the ISS international space station.

This Atlantis flight will last 11 days connecting with ISS (scheduled for tomorrow) with the task of bringing the Columbus research room weighing 10 tons of Europe and organizing 3 space walks. After connecting to the European Space Station (EAS), Columbus will perform a number of experiments related to biotechnology, medicine, materials and liquids .

It is known that the Columbus laboratory is the first device to be connected to the ISS without being produced by the US or Russia. It can be seen that this trip of Atlantis marked the great development of the European Space Agency as well as the European ambition of space.

The Atlantis ship is controlled by a hub located near Munich, Germany. The total cost for this trip is about 2 billion USD and is spent by 3 Germany, Italy and France.
