NASA's announcement said: "Although the effort is very hard to handle, engineers still cannot reduce the amount of liquid hydrogen leakage." So they had to decide to cancel the plan to launch Endeavor. Earlier on Saturday, the ship was also delayed for the first time due to a hydrogen leak during refueling. This incident continues to be detected at the vessel's external fuel tank.

The Endeavor is scheduled to make a three-day journey to the International Space Station (ISS), where six astronauts are working. With the crew of 7 people on board, when connecting to the ISS station, this space base will set a record when there are 13 people present at the same time.

The Endeavor is expected to carry the last parts of Japan's Kibo laboratory on the ISS station. The mission of the ship will have 5 space walks to install these new parts for the laboratory. Upon completion of the laboratory will allow testing of materials in the harsh environment of space.

The Kibo laboratory of the Japanese space agency on ISS has a total value of $ 1 billion, weighs 15 tons, is about the same size as a bus. This is also the room with the largest area on the station, specializing in research on materials science and medical biologicals. Previously on the station there were two independent laboratories, Europe's Destiny of America and Columbus.

In addition, Endeavor astronauts installed other equipment for the outer part of the ISS such as battery packs and a spare antenna from space to earth. The ship also took astronaut Tim Kopra to work at the ISS station, replacing the Japanese astronaut Koichi Wakata who returned to work on Earth after more than 3 months.

Upon departure, Endeavor will be the 127th flight of the shuttle and the 29th flight to the ISS. There will be seven additional space shuttle flights on the ISS, before NASA's fleet retires in 2010. Meanwhile, US President Barack Obama has stressed the commitment that the United States will return to the moon. by 2020.
