Earlier this morning, Typhoon Fanapi, the 11th storm of this hurricane season in the Pacific Northwest Sea and the most powerful storm affecting China this year, landed in Fujian Province, southeast China .

Typhoon Fanapi attacked Changjiang County in Zhangzhou City of Fujian Province at 7 am local time. Heavy rain and strong winds swept the coastal areas of the province.

The strongest wind in the area near the center of the storm reached 126km / h. Weather Bureau of Fujian Province said that the storm will move deep into the land with speed of 20km / h and it is expected that there will be heavy rain over 250mm in many areas of the province.

Before landing in Fujian, Typhoon Fanapi swept Taiwan, flooding the southern part of the island, causing paralysis and widespread power outages. More than 100 people were injured and thousands of people were evacuated from mountainous areas at risk of landslides.

According to the China Meteorological Agency, after landfall, Hurricane Fanapi will move mainly in the West and weaken and dissipate tomorrow.This storm basically does not affect our country.

The Taiwan Weather Forecast Bureau said the rain reached 112mm, which fell south of the island early this morning, September 20. Local television showed flooded streets and water submerged the first floor of buildings.
