The time of the North Pole base contains a dangerous US poison

The US top-secret nuclear missile base is gradually exposed under a 35-meter-thick ice in the area near the North Pole.

According to the Daily Star, Camp Century base has been deactivated since 1967, buried under the Greenland region of the Kingdom of Denmark, during the climax.

The US military used this top secret base to be ready to strike a nuclear attack on the Soviet Union, because the area was only a few hundred kilometers from the enemy territory.

The base is known as the 'Ice City' , located about 200km from the Greenland coast, with the presence of 200 soldiers in a 3km long tunnel network.

Soldiers have their own residence, where they buy and sell goods, hospitals, churches and even movie theaters.

But in 1967, Camp Century was abandoned because US officials feared the ice covering the area was no longer stable.

Engineers predict the possibility of a collapsed base is entirely possible and soldiers must evacuate the area.

Important equipment was removed, but most of the base facilities remained, including biochemical, chemical and radioactive waste.

The United States had hoped the base would lie under permafrost forever, along with a huge amount of poison. But the warming of the Earth makes this base gradually appear.

Last year, experienced the hottest summer in history, when temperatures reached 24 degrees Celsius in Nuuk city.

Camp Century base can expose hundreds of thousands of liters of toxic chemicals and radiation into the atmosphere.

'Every year passes, another ice sheet melted,' said William Colgan, a climate and ice scientist from the Lassonde School of Engineering at York University in Toronto, Canada.

When built in 1959, the base was only about 8 meters below the ice. 50 years later, the permafrost engulfed the US nuclear base down to a depth of 35 meters.

But the melting of ice because of climate change causes 200,000 liters of diesel, radioactive and chemical waste to evaporate into the air.

'According to our research, the US top secret base will be fully exposed in 2090. This is inevitable , ' added Colgan. 'The US base may even show up sooner if it goes on in a negative direction.'
