The universe will expand forever

American scientists conclude that the universe will expand constantly after conducting the latest research on dark energy, one of the greatest mysteries of the universe.

Dark energy is a form of energy that fills the space and causes the expansion of the universe. According to the Telegraph , this mysterious energy was discovered in 1998. Astronomers cannot determine what this energy is, except that it is invisible and accounts for 72% of the space. About 24% of the space filled with ' dark matter ' - is also a difficult but compelling question so scientists can still follow. The rest of the universe - approximately 4% - is the people, planets, stars and everything made of atoms.

Recently US scientists used the Hubble Space Telescope and the large telescope range of the European Space Observatory (ESO) to understand dark energy. They watched how the light from the stars was distorted when they approached a cluster of galaxies called Abell 1689.

Because Abell 1689 has a high volume, scientists think they act as a magnifying glass, causing the surrounding light to bend.

" We see gravity and dark energy in Abell 1689 bending light from other galaxies, " said Professor Eric Jullo, a scientist at the US Aerospace Agency.

Jullo is the leader of the research team. He said that the results of the study help scientists claim space will expand constantly with increasing speed by the distribution of dark energy.

Research by the Jullo group is published in the journal Science .
