The world's first robotic announcer
Japanese robot expert at the University of Osaka, Hiroshi Ishiguro, has exhibited at the Miraikan Museum in Tokyo, a showcase of robotics with many features and capabilities that resemble real people.
The robot helps us better understand the interaction between humans and robots and understand the difference between humans and machines. He said: 'Robotic manufacturing is about finding out what a human being is, considering emotional, cognitive and thinking issues.'
Kodomoroid can read a newsletter, move his hands, tilt his head, twinkle his lips, frown, wink
The main robot on display is Kodomoroid , a girl who reads news, can move his hands, tilt his head, twinkle his lips, frown, wink. Controlled by a remote control device, Kodomoroid reads the news without ever faltering with a sullen, tongue-twisting tone that can be heard in both male and female voices.
Next to Kodomoroid is the robot that introduced the Otonaroid program
Next to Kodomoroid was the robot that introduced the Otonaroid program in the shape of a woman. Both are about the same size as the real ones, with silicone and synthetic muscles working together with their co-stars in the demonstration designed and controlled by the Telenoid robot.
The demonstration of the two robots commenced on 25 June.
