The world's first submersible hydrofoil

Startup company iSpace2o has begun production of the hull of a high-speed hydrofoil that can dive deep underwater, called Deepseaker DS1.

Deepseaker DS1 can rise high to surf above the water at 43 km / h or dive 50 m deep in the sea. According to iSpace2o , this is the world's first hydrofoil hybrid submarine. All-electric vehicle with ultra-quiet Deepspeed propulsion system, designed and engineered by Sealence.

Electric trains tend to have limited range, but the hydrofoil design helps lift the hull above the water, greatly reducing drag and increasing range. iSpace2o has not revealed the capacity of the battery pack or the range estimate of the Deepseaker DS1. The company said it is considering a version equipped with a hydrogen-powered powertrain with a longer range.

iSpace2o also partnered with Like-A-Fish to provide a near-limitless supply of oxygen to the ship's four-seater cabin. This technology uses an electronic centrifuge to place seawater under low pressure, creating dissolved oxygen for the ship's breathing system. The device consumes about 150 W of electricity per person.

The company also uses artificial intelligence navigation, airbags to bring the ship to the surface in an emergency, augmented reality-inspired displays, GoPro cameras, in-flight receivers, and more. water and traction shell construction to protect the cabin even if a crash destroys the exterior.

iSpace2o said their partner Giancarlo Zema will help finalize the design for the Deepseaker DS1 model. They will supply 10 ships to a large cruiser company.
