Three storms simultaneously threaten China

On September 1, the east and south coast of China was threatened by three major storms at the same time as Lionrock, Namtheum and Kompasu.

The China Geological Administration (CMA) issued an orange alert when three storms were simultaneously approaching the east coast of the country with tremendous predictive power.

" Very rarely have three storms affected China 's coastal area at the same time, " said Tran Chan Lam, CMA's director of public services and disaster relief.

He stressed that the storm of this complex was very complicated, it was strengthened only 40 hours after the first attack formed on August 29, so the path, strength and travel time of the storm were difficult to predict.

China Daily reported that the same day in Shanghai, all schools were ordered to close. In Fujian Province, nearly 138,000 people were evacuated to avoid storms.

In Zhejiang, Kompasu is traveling at 20 km / hour making more than 370 tourists stranded in Nanking Island, Dai Tran and Taiwan City from August 30 until now due to the entire road traffic service. The water is stalled.

Meanwhile, Typhoon Earl is making landfall in the eastern United States at a speed of 215 km / h after causing widespread flooding and blackouts in the area of ​​Antigua, Barbuda, St. Martin and other islands in the Caribbean. As expected, Typhoon Earl will sweep over Washington, Philadelphia and New York.

The US Federal Emergency Management Agency warns coastal people to prepare for evacuation. Meanwhile the North Carolina government also ordered the evacuation of 5,000 visitors on Ocracoke Island at dawn 1-9 (local time).
