According to Omar Garcia, an environmental expert with the Florida Agricultural Agency, Raider and Bear can accurately detect the snail species to be searched, and ignore other non-hazardous species.

AP said the snail was first discovered in Florida in 2011 and has continued to grow since then. They originated in Nigeria, usually 20 cm long and each spawns hundreds of eggs each month.

The huge African land snail is one of the most dangerous snails in the world. "They can consume at least 500 different plants, including many food crops. Snails are also a threat to animals and humans, because they carry parasites that cause meningitis , " Mark Fagan said. , one member of the research team said.

This snail can also consume gypsum and lime to absorb the calcium needed for large crust. Therefore, they also damage and destroy many houses.
