Transplant the nanoparticle 'doctor' into the soldier's body
DARPA, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, has announced the idea of implantation of small nanoparticles that can diagnose and cure from within the body.

These nanoparticles are as small as human hair. When installed inside the soldier's body, it can monitor the health status and keep the soldier healthy when fighting in the most remote battlefields.

This idea may be useful for taking care of US military special forces when medical assistance cannot be immediately available. From there will help reduce the number of soldiers killed by infection and injuries outside the battle.
DARPA is currently working to create diagnostic nanoparticles and is expected to test animals in late 2012. When all goes well, it will be tested on humans. DARPA is also interested in the study of how to make sensor nanoparticles to not damage the implanted body.
