Explorers from the US-based Odyssey Marine Exploration Company said the ship named HMS Victory of the Royal Navy was found very far from where the history noted it was sunk.

The discovery of this ship in the English Channel between England and France disputed Admiral John Balchin. The remnants show that this ship was sunk due to storms and not the Admiral's mistake.

This wrecked ship itself was once the biggest pride of the Royal Navy: launched in 1737 with a payload of 1,920 tons and 100 cannons. Unfortunately, after only 7 years of operation, HMS Victory suffered a resounding outcome.

On October 4, 1744, during a terrible storm the ship was missing. None of the 900 sailors and 50 volunteers came from surviving prestigious families.

There have been many stories about the treasure on this ship since it disappeared. Based on the reports obtained, this ship can hold 4 tons of gold. Additional studies show that there are a large number of gold and silver coins on board. In addition, there are bronze weapons, including the largest single collection of bronze cannon in the world.

The discovery of the ancient ship's body raises the legal controversy between the British Ministry of Defense and Odyssey. The Department of Defense said: 'If that is the HMS Victory ship, then we will not give up ownership of it. That means that no action related to the ship is allowed without the consent of the British Government. '

As for the Odyssey, in order to avoid the peek of the 'fouls', the company did not publish exactly where they found the battleship HMS Victory, but asserted it was in international waters and hence they can go to court to claim full ownership of this underwater treasure. The Odyssey said it is still willing to discuss with the British government the possibilities of cooperation in salvaging the ship.
