Gaza zoo employees in Palestine have devised a way to attract visitors to the sluggish playground - dyeing white donkeys to turn them into zebras.
The only two zebras of the zoo were starved to death at the beginning of the year due to neglect in the ethnic war. These favorite animals are very expensive, so the zoo staff decided to turn the two donkeys available into zebras.
They used French dyes to turn the white fur of the donkey into black and white stripes, making it difficult for many to realize that they were tricked from a distance. Many children have never seen zebras before, so they are excited about new animals.
Besides the two new "zebras", the zoo also demonstrated an aging female tiger, two monkeys, and a flock of birds, rabbits and cats.
