From 2013 to 2015, the project will apply technical advances, improve the quality of oranges, apply growth-based micro-grafting technology to restore and clean the disease, preserve the gene pool of orange seeds in the home. UPVC.

The project also manages and breeds 5,000-10,000 trees per year. During the implementation of the project, there will be training courses for households participating in orange cultivation to improve their qualifications and ability to apply science and technology to produce clean citrus, prevention techniques. synthesis against re-infection .

Sanh orange tree is one of the strengths in agricultural production in Ham Yen district. The whole district has about 2,500ha of orange, supplying about 19,000 tons per year with a price of 10,000-15,000 VND / kg.

However, many orange orchards are now infected and degenerated, reducing productivity and quality of oranges. The main reason is that the management of breeds is not strict, farmers extract their branches from non-standard plants.

The successful implementation of the project will overcome these limitations, making an important contribution to the development and conservation of the precious gene source of Ham Yen orange tree.
