Two girls find a 1200-year-old coin

Not only two girls, archaeologists were not surprised when they found rare coins.

"When I was digging, I found the coin very bright. When I realized it, I shouted and was extremely excited," said Dor Yogev on The Jerusalem Post.

Omar Zeidan - representative of the Israeli Archeological Agency (IAA) - said: "Coins discovered in the buildings area are from the 7th and 8th centuries. Besides, we also see many fragments of pottery, metal objects and animal bones ".

Dr. Robert Cole - IAA expert - also expressed his joy when the two students found a rare gold coin .

"For ordinary people, that coin is of great value. About 4-5 dongs like that can buy a house in the village," said Robert.
