Workers demolishing the Cressoni theater in Como, Italy, were surprised to discover the treasure of a gold coin in a jar on September 5, CNN reported. Roman coins will be checked and dated before being transferred to the museum. According to Italian media, these coins are worth millions of dollars.

"We have not been able to give an accurate value because it is not a commodity that can be traded in the market, but it is definitely a special discovery and therefore has an unviable value , " archaeologist Local student Luca Rinaldi said. According to Luca, the coin jar dates back to the 5th century and is preserved in a perfect state.

"We do not know the historical and cultural importance of discovery. The area is a real treasure. The discovery makes me very proud," said Alberto Bonisoli, Minister of Culture.

Theater Cressoni opened in 1870 and later became a theater before closing in 1997. Cressoni was demolished to build a luxury residential area. Authorities are planning to stop demolition in the area for further excavations.
