Ultra rare film about the world's smallest cat: instinct despite size
Like a miniature lion, the cat's journey to find food is imbued with the instincts of a true predator.
People still say cats are small tigers - meaning a miniature tiger. This means that even though the body is smaller, the cat still possesses the instinct of a true predator, unable to play.

The latest video provided by BBC shows that. Specifically, the video serves the BBC's new program of giant "cats" on Earth (referring to large cat-like creatures). But in it, they mention one of the world's rarest cats: the rusty cat - the current species.
Rusty cats (Prionailurus rubiginosus) live in Sri Lanka and India. At first glance, it was like a normal tabby cat, except that they were much smaller. An adult cat weighs only approximately 1kg, can even lie neatly in the palm of your hand.

Compared to the size, the spotted cat is probably only equal to 1/200 times the lion. However, hidden inside them is the instinct to explore and hunt as inferior to their big cousins.
Known to capture these footage, the BBC reportage team spent more than two years, moving through 14 countries.

Besides rusty cats, they also work on 31 other cat species. In particular, there are footage revealing "private life" of some rare cat species, such as Canadian bobcat and snow leopard.
Prionailurus rubiginosus (Prionailurus rubiginosus) is a species of cat feces, the smallest member of the cat family.
They live in India and Sri Lanka, and are currently listed as "vulnerable in the Red Book".
Currently, the spotted cat population is only about 10,000 individuals, and there are no populations of more than 1000 adults.
Rusty cats are 35 to 48cm long, with a tail ranging from 15 to 30cm. They have very small weight, only 0.9 to 1.6 kg.
Formally, rust-spotted cats have short hairs, gray slopes, spotted backs and ribs, just like a tabby cat. The darker tail is thick and about half the length of the body.
