Unix and Linux errors are four times more than Windows 2005
US-CERT US Computer Emergency Assistance Center has just released a list of security issues over the past 12 months. Only 812 out of 5,198 bugs related to Windows even though the program is still considered the most unsafe operating system.
US-CERT also recorded 2,328 problems in Unix and Linux and 2,058 vulnerabilities affected many operating systems at the same time.
However, this list does not mention the latest Windows Metafile risk, potentially seriously affecting the global computer system and being exploited by hackers but has not been patched by Microsoft.
In addition, no problem in Apple's Mac OS X is mentioned even though some operating system troubles have been recommended last year.
