Use blind cured stem cell contact lenses

It only takes two weeks to regenerate tissues due to corneal degeneration, making the blind bright. Australian researchers have found a simple yet extremely creative method to treat blind people due to corneal damage.

Every day, removing and attaching to the eyes of contact prisms (often called contact lenses) is a familiar movement of many people, so is the cure for the blind. Before attaching glasses to their eyes, just immerse in stem cell fluid. Waiting for two weeks, they miraculously recovered their eyes.

Many blind patients only have one eye failure so doctors take stem cells from their healthy eyes and cover them with contact lenses. After letting the stem cells cure the damaged tissue, two of the three blind patients read the words on the test board. And the third patient just passed the driver's license test. Researchers are currently monitoring the stability of the method but it seems all is good and promising.

So far, doctors have only identified immediate goals of treating those who suffer from corneal damage, the disease every year takes away the vision of 1.5 million people. Due to the simple method and relatively low cost, the method will reach the low-income class.

Even the method can cure people with congenital corneas (called aniridia in the industry) by using stem cells in other parts of the eye.

When the method is complete and widely tested, the researchers think they can cure some other blindness, torture other parts of the eye.

However, they also added that they have no intention of treating near and farsighted diseases.
