Use free energy-saving light bulbs

People in the two communes of Mai Dinh (Soc Son, Hanoi) and Hai Trieu (Tien Lu, Hung Yen) are using compact bulbs for free from the energy saving project. Each household only has to pay back half of the electricity saved for investors in the first 2 years of use.

These are the first two communes to pilot the project of energy saving, replacement and distribution of bulbs for rural areas implemented by Philips Vietnam, Bong Trang Company and A34 Ministry of Defense.

Under the project, investors will provide and replace compact bulb filament bulbs for households in rural areas. Specifically, each household will receive 1-2 compact Philips bulbs from the factory A34. 14w Compact Philips bulbs will replace 75w filament bulbs, 2000 hours of life, 80% power saving.

This replacement is completely free. However, consumers will have to return 50% of electricity savings to investors (Bong Trang and A 34) at the end of each month for 24 months. Each household can buy a maximum of 2 compact bulbs from investors at a price 20% lower than the market price of Philips.

According to Mai Trong Tuan, director of Bong Trang company, this project will bring great efficiency in saving national energy and help people see long-term benefits as well as forming a habit of using products. save electricity.

Mr. Tuan also said that after learning about the implementation process in two communes of Hanoi and Hung Yen, the project will continue to be implemented in some other provinces, military barracks and schools. Localities and businesses can then learn and implement themselves to replicate this model.
