Use satellites to detect opium
A poppy field in Afghanistan.
Recently, China has discovered and destroyed about 2.55 million poppy plants. Satellite has been used to detect opium.
Public security departments of China's Ministry of Public Security officially used satellite technology for the first time last year.
As a result, the police marked 756 fields of suspected opium growing. Most of the poppy fields were discovered in the mountains and in the forests.
In addition, Chinese police also discovered poppy fields in some foreign countries.
