Vegetable meat

While the world has not yet been able to "digest" information on the type of beef raised on recent experimental plates, in the Netherlands there appeared plant-based meat.

Known as 'Frankenstein' minced meat , laboratory-grown beef for more than 250,000 euros has been announced by experts in London in August, and only two culinary experts are happy to taste it. Meat is said to be revolutionary about this food.

However, a man named Jaap Korteweg, co-founder of the 'Plant Meat' restaurant, thinks his product is more than the beef, especially the appetite according to AFP.

While experimental beef is made from beef fibers from cow muscle cells, Dutch chefs only need to use plants to make 'meat', like vegetarian dishes in Vietnam.

Mr. Korteweg's store, located on the main road in the center of The Hague, is filled with vegetarian meat products, from beef, meatballs to tuna.

A secret ingredient of vegetable meat is soybean meal, which is put into a special press to create the meat fiber, the technology invented by Wageningen University in central Netherlands.

Depending on the dish will have different processing. If chicken, more soy is needed, while beef is made from carrots, beans and potatoes. Herbs, spices . help create characteristic 'meat' flavors.
