Video: Big football pitcher pit devoured the campsite

A huge football pitch death pit devoured a series of tents and vehicles at a campsite near the coast in the state of Queensland, northeastern Australia.

The 140m-wide, 2.7m-deep death pit, appeared in minutes at Inskip's nose , near Rainbow beach, on the night of September 26. Sky News Australia reported that about 300 campers were quickly evacuated from the coast after one person ran along the area reported at 23:00.

"I still can't believe we were able to escape. I thought it was all going to die. The mouth of the hole spread terribly fast to the campsite and swallowed it all , " Melanie Wotherspoon, a walker Camp, write on Facebook.

Police and rescue teams are looking for the area and there seems to be no casualties in the incident. Campers are warned to return to the coast due to fear that the death hole could be expanded.
