Video: Glass bricks provide electricity from photovoltaic
The UK team developed glass bricks that can collect solar energy to supply buildings, vehicles or storage in batteries.
Solar Squared glass bricks.
Solar Squared glass bricks contain a small layer of solar cells. The smart optical design of glass tiles concentrates sunlight into the solar panels when arranged vertically.
Glass bricks can be interconnected, providing energy for buildings and electric vehicles or stored in batteries.
These glass tiles can be attached to conventional buildings and covered in color to prevent light from entering the building.
