Video: Huge meteorite glides through the American sky

People in some states of the United States witnessed images of meteorites heavier than 220kg gliding through the sky.

People in New York City, Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania observed this phenomenon on February 17. Objects from the universe move at an altitude of nearly 100 km above the Earth's surface, with a speed of more than 72,000 km / h.

Three cameras from the US Aeronautics Agency (NASA) recorded a meteor that glided through the sky. According to scientists, it seems to break down and fall somewhere in Pennsylvania.

"It is brighter than the full moon phenomenon, before the camera loses track at a height of about 21km above the town of Kittanning, near the city of Pittsburgh," said RT.

According to the American Meteorological Research Association (AMS), light trails are seen from the Earth, when molecules in the air stimulate atoms of the atmosphere following the asteroid's path. It may come from the asteroid belt between Mars and Jupiter.
