Video: Personal flying vehicles take off vertical
Imaginative's Charles Bombardier and AirBouyant's Pete Bitar give the idea of a vertical takeoff (VTOL) that can fly quickly in the city.
Solexa will use small fuel cells and high octane gasoline to run 6 engine-mounted propellers.
Solexa looks like a super-large unmanned aircraft. Similar to other VTOLs, navigation can be done via a computer on the vehicle and the operator pre-selects the destination. Most VTOL uses lithium-ion batteries. Solexa will use small fuel cells and high octane gasoline to run 6 engine-mounted propellers.
According to Bombardier and Bitar, Solexa is ideal for short walks on crowded streets or exploring countryside. Police can also use means to patrol the streets.
