Comet Lovejoy , also known as C / 2014 Q2 , is getting brighter every day, making it easier for people in the Northern Hemisphere to observe them. According to experts, Lovejoy is currently about 69.2 million kilometers from Earth and is believed to be moving at 86.904km / h.

Lovejoy's color tail comes from two types of emitting gases: cyanogen and carbon, which glow green when sunlight passes through them.

CBS news agency reported that Comet Lovejoy will be closest to Earth on January 7. After this point, it will start to move away from our planet and gradually lose its intensity.
