Video: Seal sharks next to the coast
The attack of white shark with seals is only a few meters from the coast, causing panic for swimmers.
Nauset Beach in Orleans, Massachusetts, USA, closed yesterday after a white shark attacked its prey, frightening seafarers for believing that blood stains came from a victim. The two surfers were less than a meter away from where the white shark tore the seal.
White sharks attack seals about a few meters from shore.
Screams echoed throughout the beach when surfers rushed to shore."I tried to push my board while everyone screamed" Get out of the water! "I thought I was going to die, " NBC New York quoted a witness as Nisi Schlanger.
Early in the summer, seafarers on Cape Cod are warned that white sharks can reach up to 150 due to a quantitative outbreak.
The Massachusetts Marine Fisheries Agency (MMF) said the number of white sharks has skyrocketed in recent years. The white shark population in the region is 147 in 2016, double the number of 68 in 2014.
According to scientist Gregory Skomal, who started tracking the number of sharks and the research team at MMF, studying the markup indicates sharks returning every year."When operating in the same area as people, clashes are likely to happen, such as sharks biting people , " Skomal said.
