Video: Spiders are as big as a plate forgetting lizards outside people's houses

An Australian resident spotted a large hunter spider crawling outside the dining room window with lizards lingering in his mouth.

Melanie Jade Ottaway saw a large-sized spider when she was preparing to have dinner at an apartment in Beerwah, Queensland, on the evening of December 4, according to UPI. The hunter spider is 13cm long crawling on the dining room glass door and grabs a lizard in his mouth.

"We just sat down to have dinner when we saw something big on the glass door. I got up to look closer and discovered the hunter spider. It was too late to save the lizard so we left everything happens naturally, "Ottaway recounts.

Hunters can be up to 30cm long. They often hunt alone and catch prey with speed instead of using spider webs. Their common food is cockroaches and insects.
