These are two real events in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. The photos below show spiders are more daring than we thought.

On September 23, the receptionist of an electric company in Cairns, Queensland, Australia saw a snake lying in the spider web. She believed that the snake had suffered from the night before. A colleague sent an e-mail to The Cairn Post's e-mail box with photos.

The snake is 14 cm long and appears to have died by the venom of the black back spider. After death, she was caught in the spider web. Throughout September 23, the spider carefully considered and on September 24 it curled up the snake and spread it around.

In another photo also taken in the city of Cairns and spread by millions of people around the world by e-mail, the giant Golden orb weaver spider is eating a bird behind the apartment.

Joel Shakespeare, a leading spider expert in Australia, said giant spiders that often hunt insects when they eat birds are a rare phenomenon. Joe confirmed that he had seen many Golden orb weaver spiders as big as his hand, but he thought that spiders in the tropical country could be bigger.
