Video: The destructive power of asteroids when hitting Earth
The asteroid's degree of damage when hitting the Earth depends on its size, movement speed and density.

According to Tech Insider, the US Aerospace Agency (NASA) tracks more than 10,000 objects near Earth (NEO) in space. Millions of years ago, one of the NEO collided with the Earth, causing the dinosaurs to become extinct. Human history has never recorded a case of being killed by asteroids.
Using Purdue University's Impact Earth software, USA, and data provided by NASA, scientists calculated the extent of destruction of asteroids of different sizes if collided with the Earth.
