Mr. Dang Vu Tuan Son, President of the Young Astronomical Club said, the best time to observe the meteor shower in Vietnam is the night of 11, dawn on August 12 and night of 12, and 13/8. However, according to meteorological agencies, it is likely that large cities such as Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang may be difficult to observe due to cloudy weather.

"If the weather supports, viewers can witness the explosion with the usual double meteor density, up to 150 to 200 streaks / hour," Son said and said the days before and after. It is still possible to see some meteors.

From after midnight, viewers should head east to the sky, find the constellation Perseus containing the center of the meteor shower. Just by naked eyes, observers will see a meteor without binoculars, telescopes or any other device.

The Perseids meteorite was a phenomenon that took place in August every year, it was a remnant debris when comet 109P / Swift-Tuttle approached the sun.
