Vietnam is about to catch the Perseids meteor shower later this week

Vietnamese people will have a chance to watch meteor shower peak at dawn on August 13, with about 100 streaks every hour.

According to Mr. Dang Vu Tuan Son, Chairman of Vietnam Young Astronomical Society, the best time to see Perseids meteor shower at dawn on the 12th, 13th and 14th August, but ideally the morning of August 13 .

At this time, the sky was not obstructed by the moonlight, creating conditions for admiring the phenomenon. If the viewing angle and weather are ideal, viewers can see 100 meteor streaks every hour.

The astronomer advised, to monitor this phenomenon, after 1am, everyone looked at the northeast sky and found the constellation Perseus - the focus of the meteor shower. Viewers do not need to use binoculars or telescopes but can see with the naked eye.
