VNREDSat-1 satellite must

According to information from the Management Board of the Small Satellite Project (Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology), at 1:15 am on August 29, VNREDSat-1 satellite again has to carry out trajectory adjustment. to avoid the possibility of colliding with a flying object crossing the current satellite orbit.

On August 27, 2014, America's Space Mission Coordination Center (JSPOC) continued to warn of the possibility of collisions between VNREDSat-1 satellite and a cosmic object at 15h13 on August 29 / 2014 (Vietnam time), with a collision probability of 0.13%.

Due to the experience of handling this situation, the Small Satellite Operation and Control Center took the initiative, quickly analyzed, evaluated the situation, made plans and adjusted the trajectory for satellite VNREDSat-1. use only ground control station in Hoa Lac.

At 1:15 am on August 29, VNREDSat-1 satellite conducted an orbital adjustment operation. At 21:30 on the same day, the ground control station in Hoa Lac received the normal status signal of VNREDSat-1 satellite. At the same time, the satellite image receiving station is operated by the National Remote Sensing Department, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment and receives the VNREDSat-1 image signal as planned.

This confirms the normal operating status of VNREDSat-1 satellite after being adjusted to avoid collision.

Thus, within half a month, two VNREDSat-1 satellites had to "steer" to avoid colliding with cosmic objects. This is quite a high probability if compared to the period of more than 15 months ago.
