Watch comedy every day
Just watching half an hour of comedy every day will also reduce the amount of stress hormones in the blood and heart disease chemicals, the latest finding just found.
The findings reinforce the long-held view that smile is the body's tonic.
Dr. Lee Berk, from Loma Linda University in California, studied 20 men and women taking medications for diabetes, high blood pressure and high cholesterol.
They all took normal medicine, but half were given a "happy laugh" form - 30 minutes of comedy watching every day.
As a result, the stress hormone level in the group watching comedy decreased after 2 months.
After 4 months, the levels of chemicals associated with vascular sclerosis and other cardiovascular problems also decreased, while good cholesterol levels (considered heart protection) increased.
A previous study by Dr. Berk also showed that a happy smile can be beneficial for health.
