According to Mr. Son, the best observation time in Vietnam is from 1-3 am on December 14. At that time, the Gemini constellation was very high, almost at the top of the observer's head and this was the center of this meteor shower.

Along with the meteor shower Perseids, Geminids meteor shower density is about 50-60 tracks / hour.

Mr. Nguyen Duc Phuong, Vietnam Astronomical and Astronomical Society, said that the most beautiful color rain shower Geminids of the year should be waiting for a lot of people.

On December 13, 14 is a time when there is no moon, so observing the meteor shower is not hampered by the light. However, the North with the current weather (cloudy) will be a huge obstacle to astronomers.

In fact, in 2012, there were many astronomical events that were difficult to observe in Vietnam due to unfavorable weather conditions.

According to my experience, Mr. Tuan Son recommends: 'If the observer can see at least 50 stars in the sky (normal stars are still shining every night), then they can see the meteor. In the case that stars cannot be seen, it means cloudy or light pollution and it is difficult to observe. "

In good weather, astronomers can observe this phenomenon with their eyes, using the camera to record images. However, it is necessary to select a point with a wide viewing angle, without being directly illuminated by the light. In addition, it is recommended to choose a supine position so that the eye is always directed towards the sky.
