"This dog does not leave anyone to scold his sister. Our animal control officers have to work hard to make him believe that they are there to help him," the Kingsville Center Kleberg said.

The staff at the center decided to name the dog Guardian . They are guarding the Guardian for 4 days according to the regulations and if the dog has no owner to pick up, the center will post a notice to find a person to keep it on April 29 . "The dog is still a bit confused about what happened, but at least now it is in a safe place, with clean water and well fed," the center representative said.

The Guardian was identified as a Catahoula and is estimated to be 6-12 months old. Catahoula is a hunting dog native to the United States, often used to protect cattle and homes. This is one of the oldest dog breeds in North America. They are about 51 to 66 cm tall and weigh 22.5 to 40.5 kg. The coat of the Catahoula is very short, dense and includes many different colors. Dogs with black fur often have a gray mark. The Catahoula is a very intelligent and lively dog. They have a protective nature and are often trained as watchdogs.
