We finally know where the legendary Nokia ringtone comes from

Nokia phones

Someone suspected Nokia's ringtone sound was derived from a gentle concert - performed by one of the best guitar players of the time.

Nokia 'rocking' phones have long been associated with memories of 8X, 9X. Although "old", but today, there are still quite a lot of people prefer Nokia phones.

In the heyday of this Finnish brand, the 'legendary' ringtone ranged to 1.8 billion times a day. Its extremely catchy sound makes us have to dig into our pockets or bags immediately.

But the familiar, familiar melody knows where this Nokia comes from.

In fact, the original version of Nokia ringtones has been written since . 1902. His father is Spanish musician Francisco Tárregan. He is said to be one of the best classical guitarists of all time, leaving behind many romantic songs.

But today people know him the most thanks to . 3 seconds of guitar solo called "Gran Vals", which means "Great Waltz" or " Great Waltz ".

Why? Because that 3 seconds is also the original music that will later be heard in every Nokia in the world.

The story of the Gran Vals itself is even farther back, when Francisco's musician himself borrowed from the song 'Grand Valse Brillate' composed in 1834.

Francisco Tárrega (1852 - 1909) was a Spanish musician. He is seen as the foundation for solo guitar performance.

In 1902, Francisco remixed the song on the guitar's serene melody. Unfortunately, he died 7 years later.

Almost a hundred years later, in 1993, the first Nokia series was about to debut. Nokia's marketing experts and engineers need a piece of music that is durable, catchy, and "Gran Vals" is a good candidate.

It is known that the deciding factor for the selected music is copyright. Under European law, if a musician dies 70 years after their composition is released, the right to use will belong to the public.

At that time, the famous guitarist Francisco Tárregan had died for 84 years, meaning that Nokia could use his work without a royalty fee.
