What is plogging, and why is it supported by the whole world?

Every year, the world appears extremely attractive movements many people participate. Negative also, but most are positive trends with the community.

And this year, plogging is also a trend like that.

Plogging is an exercise movement launched by a Swedish community, to solve the problem of almost touching the catastrophe that Earth suffers, which is plastic waste.

Plogging itself is not in the dictionary. It is a combination of jogging (walking) and picking up (garbage picking). As the name suggests, this movement requires participants to walk and collect garbage.

In other words, participants have been exercising without having to go to the gym while protecting the environment. And soon, this movement spread to the whole world.

Clean and healthy

Daniel Fuller - a 32-year-old coach in Ontario (Canada) believes that plogging is an extremely suitable solution for young people who are lazy to exercise, because it breaks the monotony while running.

But more importantly, plogging affects more muscle groups than running . Because when picking up trash, you have to bend, sit, lean over, plus carrying a garbage bag with increasing weight.

Measurement applications show, plogging burns about 53 calories more than normal jogging every 30 minutes. In addition, if you have difficulty running, you can also choose to walk. The only other is that it is called plalking, instead of plogging.

"Gathering a group of friends, going out for a run and cleaning up trash for the whole world, is really fun," Fuller said.

In fact, plogging has been around since 2016, but has never been so powerful. At that time, there was only one plogging organization named Plogga in Stockholm. For now, organizations are increasingly appearing in the world, from Mexico to India, then Japan.

The most significant movement in the world

On Earth April 22, there were more than 1,000 people who were plogging in India. They had just jogged, and gathered up the garbage that was making the entire river seem to block.

"I feel so relieved," said Emily Wright, an American plogger. "The size of the pants is smaller, the belly is less fat. The ability to balance and flexibility is also much higher."

You know, smaller belly is just a very small part of plogging benefits, because going out to work improves both health and well-being. Not to mention the effects of stress reduction, stable blood pressure, increased concentration and creativity.

And most importantly, the surrounding environment is cleaned. The clean environment will make you healthier, and at the same time the Earth will thank us for that.
