What will happen to our bodies in 2015?

During 365 days of 2015, each of our bodies will work non-stop, creating a huge "finished" volume.

Based on the results of increased studies on the website and scientific journal, the World Science Festival site has created a graphic that summarizes the "achievements" that our bodies are expected to achieve after a hard working year.

In summary, on average, in 2015, one person could excrete up to 135 gallons (511 liters) of urine, enough to fill two baths. And this is not the only liquid "product" of the human body. Each of our bodies is expected to produce 91 gallons (about 344.5 liters) of saliva, which means that 230 bottles of large, 1.5-liter champagne bottles are needed.

Parts of the body must also handle huge amounts of work. For example, our heart will beat about 25 million times and the eyes will blink up to 5,606,400 times.

Nearly 18 to 25 trillion body cells will be eliminated due to cyclical suicide (apopotosis). Some of these will be skin cells, so the total body will peel off more than 3.6 kg of skin in 365 days.

The hair will grow about 15cm, while the nails will grow from 2.5 to 4cm long. In addition to these often-anticipated changes, the body can be inconvenient for owners when farting up to 5,475 times throughout the year.

Whether tired, bored or both, most of us will yawn 1,825 times a year and sleep an average of 2,920 hours.

Blood will circulate a total of 7.05 million kilometers throughout the body, equivalent to moving around the Earth equator 176 times or from Australia to the South Pole 50 times.
