Why do we have a nose?

There are many things worth pondering in life, such as the fate of man or the vastness of the universe. However, very few of us dare to question the rusty nose. We only pay attention to it temporarily when we feel itchy in the nose.

There is a good reason why nasal rust is an ubiquitous component of the nasal cavity: They are a sign that the respiratory system is well protected. There are many things that penetrate the human body through the nose. When we breathe, germs and allergens will be inhaled. If everything enters through the human nose that can enter the lungs, our breathing organs will work harder, namely, treating O2 and releasing CO2.

To ensure that the lungs are free to operate without obstruction, mucus (or "nasal fluid" ) clings to components that pass through the nose to prevent or slow their progress. From this phenomenon, we derive the reason why the human body makes many mucus when it comes to a cold - this is the reaction to stop the virus from the respiratory system.

Not every nose is the same.

Mucus also has a different defensive role: preventing airway dryness . If the inside of the nose is too dry and begins to crack, it will allow bacteria to enter the body. Therefore, mucus is an important task to keep the nostrils moist.

While performing these tasks, mucus along with small nasal hairs will prevent dirt and other particles from entering the nose. All of these combinations have created nasal rust.

As you can see, not every nose is the same . For example, some types of rusty nose are greasy, and some are lumpy. This usually indicates how long the nose has been in the nose. A hard nasal rusty layer can stay in the nose longer and drier than liquid rusty fluid.

Therefore, we may often encounter nasal rusts with different sizes, properties and consistency in our noses; At that time, feel free to forget they are there. However, if you notice a significant increase in the amount of mucus or color changes, it may be a sign that you are allergic or about to have a disease. So continue to monitor the condition and go to see if you have a fever or other symptoms.
