Visitors Shalin Fernando are exploring by car in the Moremi wildlife sanctuary in Botswana, when a female lion and her son are discovered surrounded by wild dogs.

Wild dogs are concentrating on attacking the mother lion.

When a pack of at least 9 wild dogs tries to attack the young lion, the mother lion decides to risk her life to destroy the siege so that her son will escape.

The lion had escaped and hid in the bushes in the distance, after the wild dogs concentrated on attacking the mother lion.

'I am very worried about the female lion and her baby,' said visitor Shalin. 'Luckily, the lion and mother are finally safe.'

Shalin Fernando said they saw wild dogs the next day, including one who was bitten and hobbled.
